Biographical / Historical

Michael E. Bry a German artist born October 1924 in Breslau, Germany. He emigrated to Santiago, Chile in 1938 and studied art at the Chile School of Fine Arts. He became a portrait photographer and held several solo exhibitions over 6 years in Chile. He came to the United States in 1954 and was living in Sausalito at the time of his 1961 solo exhibition at the Legion of Honor. He exhibited at the Lucien Labaudt Gallery as well as showed at the Tides Bookshop in Sausalito. Little else is known about this artist.
