Scope and Contents

An exhibition of sculpture by artists of 27 tribes across West and Central Africa, including Mali, the southern Guinea coast encompassing southern Nigeria, Benin, Togo and Ghana, and the Congo region between the Niger and Congo rivers, arranged by the Art Center in La Jolla, California and the Stolper Galleries of Primitive Arts, New York and Los Angeles.
The exhibition records span three folders and include planning correspondence, registration receipts, and shipping information, plus a catalog, clippings, and photographs.
