An exhibition of 20 sculptures dating from 1760 to 1860 by colonial American folk artists, collected by Adele Earnest and Cordelia Hamilton for the Stony Point Folk Gallery, New York.

Biographical / Historical
Adele Earnest and Cordelia Hamilton opened the Stony Point Folk Gallery in Stony Point, New York in 1948. The gallery was known for its displays of folk sculpture, of which wildfowl decoys were a particular highlight. Earnest and Hamilton, alongside Marian Willard, Burt Martinson, Albert Bullowa, and Herbert Waide Hemphill, Jr., would found the American Folk Art Museum in New York City in 1961.

The Bulletin of the California Palace of the Legion of Honor Vol. 12, No. 5 served as the exhibition bulletin and is in the Legion of Honor Exhibition Catalog collection in box 1. Installation photograph prints and negatives plus object photograph prints are housed in the Legion of Honor Exhibition Photograph collection in box 16.
