Scope and Contents
From the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts collection, an exhibition of Machang paper gods used in household religious ceremonies by Chinese families. The objects came from Beijing and were exhibited to celebrate Chinese New Year.
The exhibition records span nine folders and include an exhibition description, draft of the catalog, didactic information, lender correspondence, registration receipts, and an additional four folders of material related to the circulation of the exhibition. A copy of the exhibition catalog is in the catalog collection. Installation photograph negatives are in the photograph collection.
